Every Tuesday, come trace the Rock N Roll roots of New York City with us as we run through the East Village, a neighborhood that played a pivotal role in the growth of Manhattan's arts and entertainment community. We'll run by the former homes of CBGB's and The Fillmore East, through Tompkins Square Park and the tenements that graced the cover of Led Zeppelin's Physical Graffiti. This tour also includes two of New York's oldest educational institutions - NYU and Cooper Union - its second oldest church, and McSorley's, Manhattan's oldest ale house. The run starts and ends in Washington Square Park, under the Washington Square Arch.
Meeting Location: Washington Square Arch inside Washington Square Park (5th Avenue and Waverly Place).
A bottle of water will be provided for each participant. Please note, there is no coat/bag check for this run.
