The Rock N Roll roots of New York City can largely be traced back to the East Village. A neighborhood that was once home to CBGB's and The Fillmore East, the East Village played a pivotal role in the growth of Manhattan's arts and entertainment community. You can even see the apartment building used as the cover photo for Led Zeppelin's Physical Graffiti album. The East Village run also features McSoreley's, NYC's oldest saloon, and the second oldest church in Manhattan. The run starts and ends in Washington Square Park, under the Washington Square Arch.
Meeting Location: The arch in Washington Square Park - 5th Avenue and Waverly Place. The meeting time is 6:45 and the run will begin at 7 am.
A bottle of water will be provided for each participant. Please note, there is no coat/bag check for this run.
